📷When dreaming of Bali, its beautiful beaches and chilled out beach bars would certainly come to mind! In Bali, your day’s itinerary involves a whole lot of lying sea side, soaking up the Balinese rays for that extra glow, and of course a cold drink within arms reach.

If you’re ready to be the prime subject of some serious insta-envy and to ignite a bit of I-want-to-be-there-with-you and your friends, keep reading to uncover the 10 BEST BEACHES IN BALI.

Bingin Beach, Bingin

In a list of the best beaches on Bali’s Bukit peninsula, Bingin Beach cannot be missing! This beautiful beach in Bali is an oasis of glistening blue waters paired with a white sand that offers the perfect backdrop for a weekend getaway for hip expats and locals alike. Unwind from your busy daily life while sipping on a delicious dragonfruit smoothie or fresh fruit bowl from Kelly’s Warung.

Thomas Beach, Uluwatu

Located between Bingin and Padang Padang, this beautiful Bali beach is another hidden gem Bali’s south peninsula has to offer. Better skip your workout the day before – the steps down to glistening blue waters and white sand are almost as endless as they seem. Lucky you can stop every few metres to soak in the view and take the most picturesque photos from above!

Karma Beach, Uluwatu

You’ve surely come across these photos where the ocean appears as balayaged shades of blue, almost too good to be true! Welcome to Karma Kandara beach, hands down one of the best beaches in Bali! Grab a bite and a drink at the exclusive Karma Beach Club whilst intermittently taking a well deserved dip into the clear Indonesian waters. Indulge on delicious Mediterranean cuisine or watch a movie at sunset. Don’t forget to take some incredible shots from the top prior to taking the funicular down to one of the best beaches in Bali!

Located near Ungasan, after a steep 250 steps totaling 75 metres down, you will be rewarded with this secluded strip of sand framed by two large limestone caves. Named after the colour of the cliffs surrounding the beach and the emerald hues which glisten off the algae covered rocks in the water, Green Bowl is the perfect place to have a more intimate beach day at one of the best beaches in Bali. Keep an eye out for bats in the caves and keep your belongings together – you might come across cheeky monkeys!

Balangan Beach, Balangan

Lined by picturesque palm trees (always a winner!) that scream ‘island living’, this white sand beach in Bali has plenty of room for long walks with your lover. Recharge by grabbing a bite from the several warungs(traditional food stalls – we can highly recommend Nasi Goreng) dotting the beach, and stay hydrated with a fresh coconut after a cheeky laze in the Balinese sun on one of the best beaches in Bali.

Located in upscale Seminyak, Double Six beach is the perfect place to find that beach front bar to soak up a sunset, with a cold Bintang in hand to reflect on the day that was. For an eclectic and vibrant décor, check out the famous La Plancha located at one of the best beach spots in Seminyak. Kick back here under the multicoloured umbrellas and sandbags whilst lapping up the live acoustic sesh. Kick on into the night with a live DJ every Friday.

Framed by the most picturesque of limestone cliffs, Sultan (also called Blue Point beach) has that accidentally-stumbled-across-hidden-beach feel with its smaller size. Walk down a series of stairs and wooden ramps through the caves and onto the sunkissed sand. Look out into the beautiful azure water, or go exploring into the surrounding mini caves. Must-Do: grab yourself a famous Nalu Bowl at Single Fin’s on the cliff top and watch the surfer elite get barrelled on the world-class waves all day long.

Also known amongst locals as ‘Pantai Labuan Sait’, this beautiful Bali beach is so good they named it twice (so you don’t forget)! You might recognize this little lagoon as the beach in Bali from Julia Robert’s Eat Pray Love. For those looking to catch some waves, Padang Padang beach is a world famous surfing spot and home to the Ripcurl Pro Padang Cup. Rent a surfboard of your preferred size and spend all day out bobbing up and down in the cool Indian Ocean!

Within stone’s throw of the ultra luxe Ungasan clifftop resort, funicular down to one of Bali’s most exclusive beach front bars. It exemplifies all the things we love about a Sunday (so you can expect uber chill vibes). Take a dip in the pristine waters, and then saunter back out of the water to your day bed and sip on your delicious cocktail to some tropical beachside tunes. Repeat all day. Stick around till late for a bonfire to wind down your day at one of Bali’s best beaches.

Geger Beach, Nusa Dua

If you are wondering where the locals like to hang, here’s your answer. As one of the best beaches in Bali, this slice of relatively untouched paradise is a favourite for swimmers and snorkelers. Also a great place to get on a paddle board and glide out toward the horizon. Be sure to check out the seaweed farmers here in action!
